@r0kk3rz Indeed some have already created such a UI, but having a vendor supplied Silica component would unify those and have one single tab bar component everyone could use. This would reduce fragmentation in the app designs and reduce the cognitive load on the user. Also a set of guidelines for the component would be in place to help developers avoid common plunders such as conflicting gestures.
